Thanksgiving is tomorrow which means fantastic food and counting blessings. It's lovely to spend a day thinking about all the good things in life- beautiful children, family, friends both real and imaginary, books and music, beaded fringe and glitter nail polish (I realize those last two are probably just me).
This year I have an old school friend coming to stay which means one more beloved face at the table and, once the children are tucked into bed, tipsy Scrabble and uncontrollable giggling well into the wee hours. Yay.
Every year on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, the morning DJ at the jazz station does a full show of songs about food. She puts the most amazing set together each time and I always look forward to it. She played this one last year. My elder boy thinks the part about eating the table and napkins is hilarious.
Cab Calloway - Everybody Eats When They Come To My House
Many many thanks to each of you who visit, comment, send music and drop a line every now and again. Happy Thanksgiving.

It's the 24th here in Oz right now so I expect my twitter feed tomorrow to be clogged by Thanksgiving whatnot! Hope you enjoy your day.
Just commenting on how much I love Scrabble. The traditional one is definitely my favourite, but I also like Scrabble Trickster - have you played? You get to steal letters and scores from your opponents and stuff. Is fun, but can get quite vocal in my family!

I hope you had good day my dear.
Scrabble, there's a thing.
What's your jazz station?
A while ago here I said, 'Ooh, I wish I could listen to that' and now I'm thinking that perhaps via teh internets, I can.

Happy Thanksgiving!
What a great tune. I love food themed songs....you gave me a post idea. xx
If you ever join Facebook, let me know. Me, FiL and Marcy play a Scrabble like game called Wordscraper. It is great fun and they come up with the wildest words!

hello!
Agnes- I hadn't heard of Scrabble Trickster and had to look it up. Seems it isn't available in the US because of legal mumbo jumbo so I may have to smuggle it in. Looks fun.
MrH- The jazz station streams- here. Of course sometimes it is completely unlistenable but isn't that the charm of indie radio anyway. Will be nice to think of you tuning in all the way over there.
Tricia- I have been thinking of making a Facebook page so I could keep up with CP friends and you just made it even more tempting. I'll let you know if I take the plunge.
