What a wonderful poem. And so very you, Greer. "in the library a lovely girl/looks in vain for a poem that could explain it all"

Reading this poem makes me feel like I'm seeing through your eyes.

That's lovely, and very like a W.H A poem I think we both now know - 'About suffering they were never wrong' etc. Since you asked me just now, and I've had no real time to prepare, I'm popping this in my pocket - nothing whizzy but it's been in the margin of my blog ever since I had one, so it must count for something, for me.

And I always thought; the very simplest words
Must be enough
When I say what things are like
Everyone's heart must be torn to shreds
That you'll go down if you don't stand up for yourself
Surely you see that.

- Bertolt Brecht

Viva those old Commies eh?

Hi James, Thank you, I'm so glad you liked this one.

MrH, thank you for saving me from being the only one, always the gentleman you are. I have lingered over those lines in your sidebar many times, very very fine words to keep close x
